Ariana Grande’s hotly anticipated perfume Thank U, Next is preparing to make its debut.
On 18 August the fragrance will roll out in Ulta Beauty stores and across the rest of the US on 1 September, with prices starting at US$42.
The fragrance, which was created with prestige beauty company Luxe Brands, is said to embody Grande’s latest album, thank u, next, and features a blend of pear, raspberry, crème de coconut, rose petals, macaroon sugar and velvet musk.
The Grammy award winner said she wanted to create a scent that was relatable to her first perfume, Ari.
“I wanted to make a fragrance that [...] related to my first fragrance Ari, but more summery, so I revisited Ari’s fruity pear and raspberry notes and changed it up by adding some coconut,” said Grande.
“I was inspired to design a bottle that represented the message of my song thank you next - the emergence of the perfume from the broken heart represents moving forward from a challenging chapter.”
The 26-year-old will star in the scent’s campaign which was put together with video director Hannah Lux Davis, while Robertet’s Jerome Epinette was responsible for creating the scent.
Tony Bajaj Luxe Brands CEO said the new fragrance and its campaign are “a perfect representation of Ariana’s globally embraced message.”
He added: “We are honoured to again be partnering with such a groundbreaking artist and look forward to continued success with the launch of Thank U Next.”
Grande first teamed up with Luxe Brands in 2015 for her first Ari fragrance and, according to the company, her franchise made more than $150m in retail sales globally in 2017.
She has also filed for the trademark ‘Thank U, Next’ for a line of beauty products, which covers body lotions, bath gels, shower gels, body scrubs, body powders, body soufflés and body mists.
