French Waltz is the debut scent under the musician’s Golf le Fleur lifestyle brand
Tyler, The Creator has added another string to his bow with his debut fragrance French Waltz.
Launched as part of the US rapper and record producer’s Golf le Fleur lifestyle product brand, French Waltz was created in collaboration with UK-headquartered perfumery house CPL Aromas.
The fragrance is described as “sunny radiance… tinted with pastel shades”, by Alexandra Kosinski, Head of Perfumery at CPL Aromas UK, who worked with Creative Perfumer Julie Pluchet and Tyler, The Creator over an 18-month period to design the fragrance.
“One of the things that stands out about Golf Le Fleur is the brand’s use of colour, so it was important for the fragrance to convey Tyler’s chromatic universe,” said Aitana López de Carrión, CPL Aroma’s Global Fine Fragrance Development Manager.
The scent opens with crystalline, dewy petals, mandarin and light watery fruits, which move to a heart of mimosa, white florals and powdery rose. Finally, creamy sandalwood and skin-like musks add warmth at the base.
Golf le Fleur is the second lifestyle brand to be launched by Tyler, The Creator, born Tyler Okonma, and includes high-end clothing, nail polish and accessories, as well as the aforementioned fragrance.
Okonma’s skate and streetwear brand Golf Wang debuted in 2013, but Golf le Fleur is said to reflect the polymath’s evolving tastes and current, more coiffed style.
French Waltz is available in 10ml, 50ml and 100m and is available now at golflefleur.com.
