TNT Global Manufacturing has announced that it is setting up a self-funded zamak recycling chain in order to obtain PCR zamak for its zamak packaging components.
Working with smelters, sorting operators, beauty industry partners and consumers, TNT is encouraging end consumers to bring their zamak caps back to the distributor via an educational programme; the caps are then collected by sorting operators and sold to smelters at 50% of the London Metal exchange price for zamak.
The company has revealed a logo to authenticate this approach, anticipating the creation of a quality label to guarantee the traceability of recycled zamak.
