Sustainable Beauty Awards winners revealed

Organic Monitor's awards recognisethe organisations pushing the boundaries of sustainability in the beauty industry

Organic Monitor has announced the winners of its 2014 Sustainable Beauty Awards, which recognise the organisations pushing the boundaries of sustainability in the beauty industry.

Cruelty Free International was named Sustainability Pioneer for its global campaign to end animal testing methods for cosmetic and personal care products, while Aveda won the Sustainability Leadership award. The late Horst Rechelbacher, founder of Aveda and Intelligent Nutrients, received the first Sustainability Lifetime Achievement award. Widely recognised as a sustainability visionary, Rechelbacher passed away in February this year.

Other winners included Laboratoires Nuxe (Sustainable Packaging), AAK’s Lipex SheaLight (Sustainable Ingredient), and Abaché Organics (Green Formulations). For a full list of winners and runners-up, visit sustainablebeautyawards.com.
