Microphyt delivers first batch of microalgae
The company cultivated the organisms in a 5,000 litre photobioreactor (built in a greenhouse with the potential to house ten similar machines) that has been operational since December 2009. The second machine will be brought into service in July 2010 and the third at the end of the year, according to Microphyt. The production unit is due to be fully completed in 2011 at a cost of €2-3m.
