In October, Les Merveilleuses, the make-up brand launched by French high end patisserie maker Ladurée, will arrive in France.

Originally released only in Japan in February 2012, the products will be available from Sephora outlets in the Champs Elysées, La Madeleine and Boulevard Haussman.

The range, the first from a company that normally specialises in deluxe macaroons, is firmly aimed at the luxury market and features fancy packaging designed like 18th century bonbonnières, and cameos imprinted into blushers and lip colours.

It comprises complexion products such as Base Lissante Visage (smoothing make-up base), in addition to powder compacts, loose powder and cream blush. Stand out items include the Poudre Libre Visage avec Houpette (loose powder with powder puff), in a globe-shaped box. It is available in three colours, priced at €45-€127 for the powder box and puff, and €82 for a refill.

For the eyes, there’s the Palette Ombre à Paupières (five colour eyeshadow palette), Ombre à Paupières Crème (cream eyeshadow stick), eyeliner and mascara. Finally, there are also ancillary products including rose soap, make-up remover and make-up brushes.
