The Edward Scissorshands actor has allegedly signed a three-year contract to stay on as ambassador for the French fashion house’s popular scent

Christian Dior has reportedly secured Johnny Depp to remain the face of its Sauvage men’s fragrance.

The actor’s new three-year contract is alleged to be the biggest men’s fragrance pact in history, with sources pegging the deal at upwards of US$20m, reported Variety.

The French luxury fashion house is doubling down on its relationship with the Pirates of the Caribbean star after winning his defamation trial last year.

The actor underwent a public civil lawsuit with ex-wife Amber Heard, who accused Depp of physical abuse and sexual assault.

While brands such as Warner Bros and its Fantastic Beasts franchise dropped Depp, Dior continued to work with the actor.

Depp won the multimillion-dollar US lawsuit in June 2022 and sales of Dior Sauvage quickly rose at retailers, reported the Wall Street Journal.

Depp first became the face of Dior Sauvage in 2015 and has continued working with the luxury fashion house since.

The alleged deal surpasses what other male celebrities have secured for big fragrance contracts.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson landed $12m to serve as a spokesperson for Dior Homme, while actor Brad Pitt signed a $7m pact to promote Chanel No. 5
