Cosmetics Business rounds up seven new beauty and hair care launches out now, including a look at CAIA Cosmetics' exclusive Y2K collab with MTV

American cable channel MTV has unveiled its first-ever beauty-product range through a collaboration with Scandi brand CAIA Cosmetics.

The collection was created in celebration of Millennial pop culture and fashion, and features a scented body highlighter and colourful eye pencils.

Other new launches include the Bblonde Intense Silver Conditioning Water from Jerome Russell, and Loewe’s new Geranium Outdoor Candle.

Pearl Beauty is a newly-launched minimal and multi-purpose cosmetic brand.

Founded by make-up artist of ten years Elanna Pecherle, the collection includes lipsticks, concealers and blushes.

The brand claims to use clean ingredients, and is said to be vegan and cruelty-free.

Pecherle recommends using each product and shade individually, or mixing and matching to suit colour preference.

2. Clinique

Clinique has launched its new Moisture Surge SPF 25 Sheer Hydrator.

It contains the brand’s patented Aloe Vera Bio Ferment and a hyaluronic acid complex, which helps attract moisture and retain it.

Aloe Extract Powder has also been included, which is said to be rich in polysaccharides, responsible for the skin's ability to hydrate and retain water.

Pro vitamin D, meanwhile, provides antioxidant protection to help defend skin from damaging free radicals.

A blend of UV agents also helps protect against harmful UVA/UVB rays.

3. Jerome Russell

The new Bblonde Intense Silver Conditioning Water from hair care brand Jerome Russell has been formulated to repair hair damage.

The lightweight formula also helps to remove brassy tones, while smoothing and detangling hair.

It works by using lamellar water, which deposits amino acids and hydrolysed wheat protein into the hair repairing it from within.

Hair is left soft, frizz-free and shiny, according to the brand.

4. Voya

Voya’s new Indulgent Sea Marine Bath Salts are out now.

Combining chunky bath salts with seaweed and a blend of detoxifying minerals, the bath salts work to soothe and revitalise the body.

It contains wild fucus serratus seaweed, Achill Island sea salts, epsom salts and Himalayan pink rock salts.

The product has been naturally fragranced with lime and mandarin essential oils.

The combination of ingredients result in a potent blend of magnesium, zinc, calcium and potassium, helping to detoxify the body and help relieve fatigue and tension.

5. Loewe

Loewe has launched a new Geranium Outdoor Candle.

It features a high-intensity Geranium fragrance, evocative of the mosquito-repelling flowering plant, and reveals rose notes once lit.

The candle is also specially designed for outdoor use, with a large surface area of wax.

This helps to create a more effective diffusion of scent in the open air.

The outdoor candle also features four cotton wicks and is presented in an artisanal, glazed, terracotta vessel with a stamped base.

6. M&S Beauty

M&S beauty has created a new skin care range for men.

Formula for Men is a collection of products designed to moisturise skin using active ingredients.

These include caffeine, which helps skin look and feel refuelled.

Lime caviar, a new AHA which encourages cell turnover, has been added to help create a smooth, bright and more even complexion.

The formulation is rounded off with vitamin B5, to help aid moisturisation.

7. CAIA Cosmetics

MTV has unveiled its first-ever beauty-product launch in the shape of a make-up collection in collaboration with Scandi brand CAIA Cosmetics.

The collection was created in celebration of Millennial pop culture and fashion.

It features an eye palette in metallic blues and pinks, a scented body highlighter and colourful eye pencils.

CAIA Cosmetics was created by Swedish entrepreneur Bianca Ingrosso.

As part of the launch, CAIA has released a music video starring Ingrosso performing a cover of Jamelia’s 2003 hit ‘Superstar’.
