The Temporary Colour Gel is available in four shades and took the French hair care brand five years to develop

French hair care brand Christophe Robin has launched its first at-home hair colour kit, aiming to help consumers conceal grey hairs.

Temporary Colour Gel (£31.50) is designed to wrap around hair fibres rather than penetrate them, adapting to consumers' hair colour for a natural result that fades out evenly in seven to ten shampoos to avoid harsh roots.

Available in four natural colours – Golden Blonde, Dark Blonde, Light Chestnut and Dark Chestnut – the gel features 98% natural origin ingredients, including inula flower extract to preserve and brighten colour while stimulating keratin production, as well as oat flakes for their protective and antioxidant properties.

According to the brand, the product took founder Christophe Robin, who has coloured the hair of celebrities including Kylie Minogue and Tilda Swinton, five years to develop.

It is available at Space NK, Harrods, net-a-porter.com and lookfantastic.com.
