The trade show was due to take place in May 2020, but has been rescheduled on a number of occasions due to the coronavirus pandemic

Beautyworld Middle East has rescheduled its annual event to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 25th edition of the region’s trade show was due to take place in May 2020, but was pushed back several times due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Now, the show’s organisers have confirmed Beautyworld Middle East will reopen its doors to exhibitors in October 2021.

“The autumn months offer an ideal window for manufacturers to present their latest innovations that can be marketed in the holiday season and New Year,” said Show Director Elaine O’Connell.

“Trade buyers, beauty professionals, distributors and retailers can also find fresh insights and new trends from the biggest names in the beauty business.”

Industry distributor Nazih Group also backed the decision to move the event to the autumn.

“It will be good timing for everyone, because after the show there will be time to conduct and complete new business opportunities with a huge season ahead,” said the company’s Managing Director Nazih Hamad.

Meanwhile, Ian Crompton, Regional Director of Firmenich’s Fine Fragrance sector, added: “We’re very happy to come back stronger to Beautyworld Middle East in autumn 2021 and we’ll bring to the show a unique experience with Firmenich.

“It will also be a great way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UAE while the Dubai Expo 2020 will be in full swing.”

The news follows a number of other beauty trade shows that have either postponed 2020 events or cancelled altogether.

Earlier this month, Bangkok’s in-cosmetics Asia was rescheduled to November 2021, while in-cosmetics’ Global, Latin America and North America trade shows were axed in the summer.
