NARS Cosmetics has expanded its UK retail footprint by opening its first-ever Northern flagship.
The Shiseido-owned make-up brand’s new 100sqm store in Glasgow’s Buchanan Street is its first standalone store outside of London and promises to offer a “personalised shopping experience”.
It pays homage to “Glasgow's rich architectural heritage”, said NARS in a statement, by integrating the building’s listed features into the interior design of the flagship.
A digital screen in-store also highlights bespoke content from “vibrant” local artists.
A wave of beauty businesses have been making a move on the UK’s buzzing northern beauty scene over the past year, with Sephora, Lookfantastic and Space NK all expanding their retail remit.
"As we open our first NARS boutique outside of London in Glasgow, we are not only tapping into one of the UK’s top shopping destinations, but also recognising the immense potential this city holds for our brand," Rachel Leon-Wardrop, NARS' Brand GM, told Cosmetics Business.
"Glasgow, with Buchanan Street rapidly becoming a hub for beauty boutiques, offers an ideal environment for us to deliver
