LVMH’s CEO and Chairman Bernard Arnault has appointed his daughter Delphine as Christian Dior’s new CEO.
Delphine previously worked as Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, and was in charge of supervising all of the fashion label’s product-related activities.
Prior to this, Delphine served on the Executive Committee of Christian Dior Couture as Deputy Managing Director until August 2013.
The appointment has tightened Arnault’s grip on his luxury fashion and beauty empire.
His sons, Antoine, Alexandre, and Frédéric, have all received executive roles within the company.
The management reshuffle also sees Pietro Beccari, the former head of Dior since 2018, replace Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke.
Beccari joined LVMH in 2006 as Executive Vice-President Marketing and Communications for Louis Vuitton, going on to become Chairman and CEO of Fendi in 2012.
Since February 2018 he has been Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture and also a member of LVMH’s Executive Committee.
LVMH continued to grow in 2022, and posted recorded revenues of €56.5bn for the first nine months of 2022.
Its Q3 revenue growth also jumped by 19%.
The group’s perfume and cosmetics divisions were key performers during the period.
Perfumes saw strong thanks to fragrances such as Sauvage, Miss Dior and J’adore, and the category was further strengthened by its latest creation Parfum d’Eau.
