The Lush Prize is a £450,000 prize fund to boost progress in
animal-free science globally. This year’s winners were announced on 20
November and included scientists and campaigners from nine countries.
They were selected by an international panel of experts, from 51
shortlisted science teams, organisations and individual researchers.
Now in its fourth year, the Lush Prize (which is completely funded by
Lush Cosmetics) was £200,000 larger than in prior years, thanks to a
contribution from the company’s North America branch. Craig Redmond, a
member of the Lush Prize Team, tells SPC what the Lush Prize means for the cosmetics industry.
