L’Oréal Paris partners with Anya Hindmarch to create Elnett-inspired accessories

The fashion designer’s limited edition coin purse and clutch bag celebrates 60 years of the beauty giant’s best-selling hairspray

L’Oréal Paris has partnered with British fashion designer Anya Hindmarch on a collection inspired by its Elnett Hairspray.

The limited edition accessories – a coin purse and clutch bag – pay homage to the brand’s best-selling hairspray, which launched in the 1960s.  

The lightweight hairspray remains popular to this day, with twelve cans of L’Oréal Paris’ Elnett sold every minute in the UK.

The collaboration with the accessories designer “stays true to Hindmarch’s playful heritage and celebrates Elnett in all its golden glory,” read a company statement from L’Oréal Paris. 

The Elnett Tassel Clutch, adorned with L’Oréal Elnett’s branding, is made of molten gold leather and fitted with a zip fastening.

The £550 bag also features Hindmarch’s signature tassel and detachable wrist strap. 

“Made in a sophisticated molten gold design, our new Anya Brands Elnett Clutch is a guaranteed conversation starter,” posted Anya Hindmarch’s Instagram account.

The Elnett Coin Purse, meanwhile, is a miniature version of the clutch bag and shaped like the hairspray bottle. 

It has a lined interior, a clasp on the outside and can hold a miniature version of Elnett hairspray. 

It retails for £295.

The clutch bag and coin purse are available at anyahindmarch.com and in-store.

This is not Hindmarch’s first beauty-fashion collaboration.

The British designer launched a crossbody handbag and charm in December 2022 based on Imperial Leather’s classic bar soap.

The bag retailed for £450 and the charm £175.
