L’Oréal Paris names Emily in Paris star Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as latest ambassador

The actress from who plays Sylvie Grateau in Netflix’s television show will feature in a campaign for the brand’s Age Perfect Collagen Expert line in France

L’Oréal Paris has unveiled Emily in Paris actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as its newest brand ambassador in France.

The news marks another milestone in the French beauty brand’s ongoing celebration of ageless beauty and female empowerment by using Gen X ambassadors.

The announcement was made on L’Oréal Paris’ Instagram page with the message: “The perfect age is now! 

“Liberty to be herself, beauty that empowers – we are thrilled to welcome Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu to the #LOrealParisFamily!”

Best known for her portrayal of character Sylvie Grateau in Netflix’s hit television show Emily in Paris, French actress Leroy-Beaulieu has captured global attention for her sophisticated style and unapologetic presence, both on-screen and off. 

L’Oréal Paris described her as “a model of perseverance and daring,” adding that she “encourages living each stage of life with strength, showing that the perfect age is today.”

The 61-year-old actress is recognised for redefining notions of femininity and beauty in later life, having built a late-career resurgence with standout roles in Call My Agent! and Emily in Paris.

In a statement, Marie-Julie Monnot, General Manager of L’Oréal Paris France, said: “She brings a unique vision of a flourishing and uninhibited beauty that resonates deeply with the brand’s mission to give every woman the means to believe in her personal values and take the place she deserves in society.

“By audaciously celebrating age as a strength, Philippine breathes a surge of freedom, becoming a true source of inspiration for women around the world.”

Leroy-Beaulieu’s appointment is part of L’Oréal Paris’ broader movement to champion diversity and inclusivity across all ages, cultures and walks of life. 

The brand added that she embodies “French chic, known to all generations in France and abroad,” and highlighted her influence as a symbol of “unity and empowerment.”
