FaceGym has started its search for franchisees to run their own workout-focused facial studio under the brand’s name.

As part of global expansion plans, the “facial fitness” brand is looking to open franchise locations in the UK and US, where it already has its own studios.

In addition, FaceGym is looking to enter new markets, including Dubai, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East for the first time.

The plans come after FaceGym secured fresh investment in July from Reliance Retail Ventures, India’s biggest retailer, to fuel expansion. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

Founded by Inge Theron in 2014, FaceGym takes a workout-inspired approach to facials, and now has 15 studios in London, Manchester and Oxford in the UK, as well as New York City and Los Angeles in the US.

The brand also has a range of skin care and tools.

FaceGym will embark on the expansion in the UK first with and is eyeing up new locations outside of London for franchises.

Opting for a franchise model “really lets us accelerate our expansion effectively”, FaceGym CEO Angelo Castello told Cosmetics Business.
