Honest Beauty, founded by actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba, has launched a new campaign, which will source its content from consumers.
The #LetsBeHonest campaign aims to celebrate beauty in all its facets and inspire women to share how they use beauty in their day to day lives to bring out their best sides. The campaign is being promoted with a short video starring Alba (above).
Honest Beauty is inviting consumers to share and name the beauty looks that make them feel most special on social media sites including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube using the hashtag #LetsBeHonest. Examples include: “happy hours with the hubs” or “brunch with the family”.
Alba, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of The Honest Company, said: “Women have their own motivations for how they use beauty in their lives, so we can’t wait to see honest beauties get real with us.”
Meanwhile, The Honest Company’s CMO Chris Thorne added: “Honest Beauty isn’t about defining beauty for women. Instead, we’re asking women to tell us what makes them feel honestly beautiful. Our hope is that by Jessica revealing looks that are honest to her own life, women will be inspired to use Honest Beauty to create their own.”
All of the images tagged with the hashtag will be compiled into a crowdsourced online lookbook, which will be hosted on honestbeauty.com.
