Health and wellness retailer Holland & Barrett (H&B) has appointed Nick Allen as CFO.
The former Starbucks executive will replace Robbie Bell, who has held the CFO position at H&B for the past three years.
Bell is leaving the business to focus on “new opportunities”.
Allen has held several leadership positions within the retail industry, most recently Vice President and CFO of Starbucks EMEA since 2019.
His role at the coffee chain involved developing its strategy and transforming the region's financial performance to "significant profit growth".
The retail veteran has also worked as CFO of Vision Express from 2018 to 2019 and Head of Finance for Marks & Spencer’s international business from 2008 to 2012.
"I am very excited to join the Holland & Barrett team at this pivotal time for the business,” said Allen.
"There is such a huge opportunity for the business to grow as a leading omnichannel health and wellness retailer in the UK and internationally.
“My previous connection to H&B as a customer was through fitness, buying energy products for cycling.”
H&B is planning to boost its growth this year after reporting its most successful Christmas trading period ever.
Former Walgreens exec Alex Gourlay has been tapped as Executive Chair to help the retailer achieve this goal.
