Nick Vlahos takes over the role from Melanie Bender, after six years at the helm of Jessica Alba’s beauty brand

Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Skincare has named Honest Company veteran Nick Vlahos as its new CEO, effective immediately.

He takes over the role from Melanie Bender, who stepped down from the skin care brand in October 2023.

Vlahos has experience in leading celebrity-founded beauty brands, having previously served six years as CEO of actress Jessica Alba’s Honest Company.

Prior to joining the Honest Company, he held senior roles at US consumer goods conglomerate Clorox, including as VP and Global General Manager at Burt’s Bees.

“I am honored [sic] and thrilled to be joining Hailey and the Rhode team to help scale this amazing brand and continue to bring Hailey’s vision to life,” Vlahos wrote on a LinkedIn post.

Vlahos’ appointment comes amid a C-suite shake-up for Rhode.

The skin care brand promoted Lauren Ratner to President at the end of last year, who is credited with driving the brand’s growth including its viral collab with doughnut brand Krispy Kreme last year.
