Matthew Brookes for Giorgio Armani Beauty
Giorgio Armani Beauty has cast frontman Ryan Reynolds in its new fragrance campaign film.
The Armani Code short film - released today - was captured and directed by the award-winning Reed Morano, and is said to evoke the brand’s new modern direction.
In the film, Reynolds, alongside French actress Elodie Yung, is filmed in dark rooms and by a pier, engaging in tense scenes in an effort to portray escapism.
Reynolds partnered with the brand earlier this year to work on the project and has formerly collaborated with L’Oréal for its Men Expert range back in 2014.
Meanwhile, Armani Code Absolu, the new male fragrance, opens with notes of green mandarin and apple; leading to heart notes of orange blossom, nutmeg and carrot seeds; before moving onto dry down notes of tonka bean and vanilla.
The scent is housed in a sleek bottle in a heavier glass distribution, which is shrouded in precious gold.
The black lacquered car is embossed with the Giorgio Armani monogram, complete with a black band around the neck to depict a tuxedo.
Armani Code Absolu will be available from 24 April.
