Dolce & Gabbana Beauty plots double-digit growth and up to 70 boutiques

CEO of Dolce & Gabbana Beauty Gianluca Toniolo has outlined plans for the Italian luxury fashion brand’s beauty business to expand its retail footprint with up to 70 independent boutiques worldwide as it targets double-digit growth in 2026

Dolce & Gabbana Beauty’s sales grew 14% in 2025, with operating profit in the double digits, CEO Gianluca Toniolo has revealed.

The Italian fashion brand’s beauty business, which was taken in-house in 2022, ending a licensing deal with Japanese beauty conglomerate Shiseido, now incorporates make-up and skin care in addition to its well-established fragrances, such as Light Blue and The One.

Speaking to Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Toniolo said the beauty business had surpassed the €1bn threshold in wholesale sales, and tripled turnover in the three years since it brought beauty in-house.

“This result confirms the soundness of the decision made three years ago and the increasingly significant contribution of this category to the brand's overall development,” said Toniolo.

“Our goal for 2026 is to continue double-digit growth.

“This will be the year with the most intensive innovation plan for the internationalisation of the business: we will simultaneously work on strengthening the major fragrance franchises, expanding make-up distribution, and launching the first complete skin care line.

“Make-up aims to expand from the current 1,100 global points of sale to approximately 2,000 by the end of 2026.”

Toniolo also lifted the lid on the geographical success of the Dolce & Gabbana Beauty business, and the locations it is targeting for expansion.

Around 55% of revenues come from The Americas, with the US accounting for 60% of the region.

As well as being its leading market, the US is experiencing “significant growth”, said Toniolo.

Europe accounts for roughly 40% of revenues, and Italy, Spain, and Germany are among its leading markets in the region.

Meanwhile, 6% of revenues come from Asia, but the region “offers significant development prospects”, said Toniolo.

“In 2026, the brand reached sixth place in the US fragrance market, gaining two positions, with a 28% increase compared to a market growth of 5%,” Toniolo continued.

“We are also closely monitoring markets such as the Middle East, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil, which are experiencing rapid expansion.

“In India, we have assumed direct control of the operations, while Asia-Pacific, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam are showing very positive signs.

“Our strategy combines a widespread wholesale presence, selective retail openings, and digital development.”

Dolce & Gabbana Beauty plans to open up to 70 standalone boutiques globally, with a particular focus on the Middle East, India, Brazil, Mexico, and the US over the next three years, along with further expansion of beauty areas within its fashion stores.

“Single-brand stores play an important role in strengthening our positioning and offering an immersive, comprehensive brand experience,” Toniolo told the publication.

“We have begun the rollout of dedicated boutiques, starting in Jakarta, followed by Hong Kong, London Covent Garden [UK], Dubai Mall [UAE], Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Toniolo continued: “Our stated goal is to reach between 50 and 70 independent beauty boutiques worldwide.

“This is complemented by a distinctive model for us: the integration of beauty areas within our fashion boutiques.

“Around 20 are already operational, with another 21 planned by the end of 2027.

“This fusion allows us to present cosmetics as an integral part of the Dolce & Gabbana universe, not as a separate category.”
