British fragrance house Penhaligon's is paying tribute to its heritage by teaming up with packaging company Cosfibel to create an eye-catching coffret. The limited edition packaging for the brand's Quercus Eau de Cologne features a design in the shape of a period van, made from a simple and eco-friendly cardboard structure with a base and lid.
Cosfibel then used a cutout décor litho-laminated onto the sides of the box, as well as hot stamping to highlight the printed motifs, which have then been protected by a matte coating.
To complement the sustainable choice of materials, the coffret features an internal chock made from transparent recycled PET polymer (RPET), shaped to fit the product bottle and coated with printed paper in the same shade as the outer box in a process that required meticulous attention to detail, according to Cosfibel.
Named after the English oak tree, Penhaligon's Quercus cologne features head notes of lemon, lime, mandarin and bergamot; a heart of jasmine, lily of the valley and cardamom; and base notes of sandalwood, galbanum, musk and amber.
