Chanel debuts e-logo for ‘authorised’ retail partners to tackle counterfeit selling

Chanel has introduced a new verification e-logo for online partners authorised to distribute its beauty products to help tackle counterfeiting.

The luxury French house said the digital certification will enable beauty shoppers to verify whether its cosmetics and fragrances are being sold through official channels.

The verification symbol – a round black emblem featuring the Chanel name alongside “authorised retailer” in white – will be used across the company’s key e-commerce platforms. 

The aim is to guarantee the authenticity of products to protect consumers against counterfeit or unauthorised goods.
