DSM-Firmenich, the Dutch fragrance and flavours company, has appointed five new principal perfumers.
This includes Paris-based 'nose' Amandine Clerc-Marie, the creator of last year’s highly acclaimed Burberry Goddess perfume.
Bruno Jovanovic has also been promoted, and has most recently worked on Montblanc’s clary sage and cedarwood-infused edp Explorer Platinum.
Clement Gavarry, meanwhile, is behind Ariana Grande’s Cloud fragrance line.
The Parisian-born perfumer, who comes from three generations of fragrance creators, also created Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely.
Dora Baghriche and Gabriela Chelariu round off the list of new appointments, who have worked on Rabanne’s Fame and the Kayali by Mona Kattan edp respectively.
“Their dedication, creativity, and passion for the art of perfumery have not only greatly contributed to the success of our company, but have also elevated the olfactory experiences we bring to our clients and consumers worldwide,” said DSM-Firmenich Perfumery & Beauty President Emmanuel Butstraen.
The company added that appointments were based on the “deep technical expertise” and “outstanding creativity” of the perfumers.
“Each of these perfumers has demonstrated an exceptional ability to craft unique and captivating fragrances that resonate with our clients and consumers,” added Jerry Vittoria, Head of Global Fine Fragrance, Perfumery & Beauty.
“Their promotion is a testament to their expertise, hard work, innovation and commitment to excellence.”
DSM-Firmenich was formed by the merger of Dutch-Swiss nutrition, health and biosciences firm DSM and Swiss perfumery player Firmenich in 2023.
The business is composed of four divisions, including Perfumery & Beauty; Health, Nutrition & Care, Food & Beverage/Taste & Beyond and Animal Nutrition & Health.
It is co-headquartered in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland and Maastricht in the Netherlands.
