American actress Yara Shahidi, and Dior's latest ambassador, stars in the brand's new Rouge Dior Forever lipstick campaign.
Long-time Dior face Natalie Portman joined the star of Black-ish and its spin-off series Grown-ish to front an advert promoting the launch.
Filmed by Belgian director Arnaud Uyttenhove, the campaign sees Portman and Shahidi walking through a desert wearing flowing red dresses and holding the newly launched product.
“For this new Rouge Dior Forever campaign, we are proud to welcome the charismatic @YaraShahidi as a new ambassador,” Dior said in an Instagram post.
“A rising star of American cinema who embodies the values of the Dior woman with her strong sense of commitment and beautiful mind.”
The lipstick has been designed to give 16 hours of “transfer-proof wear and bare lip comfort” and is available in a stick format, according to Dior.
Available in 28 shades for US$35, the formula features red peony extract, which is said to keep lips hydrated.
Shahidi joined Dior as its brand ambassador in 2021, and would go on to feature in the brand’s Stand with Women campaign that same year.
Her film career began when she was just six years old, appearing in television commercials and print ads for McDonald's, Ralph Lauren and Target.
She would then make it to the big screen in 2009 after featuring alongside Eddie Murphy in the film Imagine That.
Her most recent role playing the oldest daughter Zoey Johnson on the sitcom Black-ish has put the former child actress into the spotlight in recent years.
The series revolves around a family man and his struggles to gain a sense of cultural identity after moving into a predominantly white, upper-middle-class neighbourhood.
