Hollywood film star Austin Butler has been named as the new global brand ambassador for YSL Beauty.
Butler, who played Elvis Presley in the 2022 biopic on the singer’s life, will front the L'Oréal-owned beauty brand’s new MYSLF fragrance.
The refillable perfume is available globally, with prices for the perfume starting from US$38.
“I am honoured to be named the global ambassador of MYSLF, the new statement fragrance by YSL Beauty,” said Butler in an Instagram post.
The edp’s scent combines bergamot and orange blossom absolute with warm woods, patchouli and musky Ambrofix.
It is housed in a sleek black bottle made from recycled glass, and features the Yves Saint Laurent Cassandre logo embedded directly in the packaging.
Describing the edp, YSL Beauty said: “MYSLF is the expression of the man you are, with all of your emotions and nuances.
“A twist of the traditional woody fragrance family with flowers. A statement of modern masculinity to celebrate your true self.”
Butler originally began his acting career on several children's television series, including Nickelodeon’s Unfabulous and Drake and Josh.
He would later land more prominent TV roles such as Sebastian Kydd in the Sex and the City prequel series and Arrow.
In 2019, he made his Hollywood debut as Tex Watson, a central member of the Manson Family, in Quentin Tarantino's 2019 thriller Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Butler joins YSL Beauty’s current roster of gloval brand ambassadors including Lenny Kravitz and Dua Lipa.
Danielle Marsh, a member of the South Korean girl group NewJeans, was also named as brand ambassador in March 2023.
The vocalist and dancer featured in a series of promotional campaigns for the brand.
