Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, is muscling in on the beauty industry with a selection of trademarks for her own beauty brand.
Taking inspiration from the success of her daughters’ beauty empires, Kim Kardashian West’s KKW Beauty and youngest Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics, the show business ‘momager’ is setting in motion plans to bring her own eponymous version to market.
Kris Jenner Skin, Kris Jenner Beauty and Kris Jenner Skincare trademarks were filed on 10 February under Jenner Communications covering most categories in beauty’s repertoire.
From skin care creams, oils and serums, to adhesive nails, hair care products, body care and fragrances, the 65-year-old’s possibilities could see her compete in some of the most coveted beauty sectors.
Her move could also challenge her daughters’ beauty businesses, both of which have stakes owned by personal care conglomerate Coty, as all three trademarks cover ‘cosmetics’ and ‘cosmetic preparations’.
This will not be the first time TV’s most famous mum has tipped her toe in the beauty arena.
She has teamed up with both of her daughters’ beauty brands on collaborative launches, including a famous take over of Kylie Cosmetics’ social media accounts.
The PR stunt for Mother’s Day saw Jenner ‘hack’ her youngest daughter’s beauty accounts and rename Kris Cosmetics for the launch of the Momager collection, featuring lipsticks, highlighter and eyeshadow palettes.
Jenner has made no official announcement about the details of her potential brand launch.
