Make-up brand Vampyre Cosmetics has teamed up with the makers of 1990s drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer for a new cosmetics collection.
The limited edition line (from RRP £64) includes an eyeshadow palette, lipsticks and gel eyeliner.
Shades are named after episodes from the show including Once More With Feeling, Tabula Rasa and Normal Again.
Buffy stars Juliet Landau and Julie Benz, who played vampires Drusilla and Darla on the show, also star in the marketing campaign.
Called ‘It’s About Time’, the imagery features Landau and Benz in costumes throughout different time periods, including Victorian London, Hollywood in the 1940s and a present day techno costume ball at the Palace of Versailles.
The collection name is also a reference to the ‘timelessness’ of the cult TV show created by Joss Whedon, according to Vampyre Cosmetics’ founder Rachel Clinesmith.
“It’s about time we come together, the world needs to take a cue from the characters of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and support one another through friendship,” said Clinesmith.
“Buffy fans are intelligent, wonderful, open-minded, fun, creative people. We thought about them at every step of the process.
“This campaign has everything Buffy fans love – I know ‘cause I am one.
“It’s also an exciting, fresh evolution. It’s a continuation and an exploration.”
