In an extravagant celebration of Britons’ return to retail, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK alumni A’Whora has stepped out – quite literally – for beauty brand Lottie London.

To mark the occasion, A’Whora, born George Boyle, appeared for fans in a 15-foot pink padlock in the capital’s Boxpark shopping area in Shoreditch.

Inside the pale pink padlock, adorned with Lottie London logos, the 24-year-old appeared at a Lottie London-inspired counter and showcased a selection of cult products from the affordable brand’s line and encouraged Londoners to reconnect with make-up as lockdown restrictions ease.

Boyle, who is a self-confessed fan of Lottie London, said: “Well, doesn’t this scream fun and feeling fabulous?

“It was an absolute delight to see the reactions of people's faces when they saw me appear through the giant lock doors in front of the ultimate vanity station.

“We want people to get their glam back and enjoy every moment of being set free again.

“You don’t need expensive make-up or professional skills to look fantastic. That’s why Lottie’s cult products, such as the Stamp Liner, Freckle Tint or Mega Brow are so great; they help you unlock the inner make-up artist that’s always been inside of you.”

Boyle has gained recognition nationwide since his appearance in season two of the UK’s version of the hit TV show in which he came fifth.

Charlotte Knight, the brainchild behind Lottie London, said she wanted to mark the end of lockdown with a surprise for Londoners.

“Lottie London is all about expressing yourself, getting creative and experimenting with trendy, affordable make-up products and tools,” she said.

“Now’s the time when Gen Zs will be out again, unlocking their make-up skills, and we at Lottie London are at the forefront to celebrate that.

“A’Whora was the perfect glamorous assistant to inspire Londoners to have fun and get experimental with new looks as the wait is over to socialise outside with family and friends.”
