The UK-headquartered cosmetics brand, best known for its Blading Lip Stain Masque, will use the funds to fuel its retail expansion

Cosmetics brand Wonderskin has secured a US$50m minority investment.

The cash boost will be used to accelerate the beauty brand’s retail expansion and product innovation.

Venture capital firm Insight Partners led the Series A funding round.

"Welcoming one of the most iconic firms in growth equity to join us on this journey speaks to the strength of our innovation, our team and our vision," said Michael Malinsky, co-founder and CEO of Wonderskin.

“The resources, expertise and strategic guidance Insight [Partners] brings will help us forge the next-generation beauty company.”

Wonderskin is best known for its Wonder Blading Lip Stain Masque, which it claimed went viral on TikTok in 2024.

The brand, which is headquartered in London, UK, with an in-house laboratory, said it has since been working on expanding its portfolio of make-up products.

The majority of its manufacturing is also based in the US.

"We believe Wonderskin is reshaping the beauty landscape with patented innovation, bold product design and a deep connection to today's consumer," said Rebecca Liu-Doyle, Managing Director at Insight Partners.

"Their ability to fuse science, creativity and cultural relevance is rare – and we are excited to support them as they build the next iconic beauty brand."

Wonderskin was founded in 2020 by Malinsky, Marina Kalenchyts and Doug Cooper.
