L’Oréal to phase out Valentino Beauty’s brand operations in Korea

The French giant, which holds the licence to produce the Italian fashion house’s beauty products, has confirmed it will cease Valentino Beauty’s brand operations in Korea in Q1 2026

L’Oréal has confirmed it is phasing out Valentino Beauty’s brand operations in Korea this quarter after reviewing the luxury fragrance and make-up line’s presence in the country.

Valentino Beauty is part of the French beauty giant’s luxury division, L’Oréal Luxe, and L’Oréal has held the licence to produce the Italian fashion house’s beauty products since 2018.

“At L’Oréal, we regularly review our market strategy and brand portfolio to better serve our consumers,” a L’Oréal Korea spokesperson said in a statement to Cosmetics Business.

“In Korea, following an in-depth review, in order to best sustain the growth and health of the business, we have decided to phase out our Valentino Beauty brand operations within Q1 2026.”
