Body and hair care brand Hello Klean made its appearance on the British reality television business programme Dragons’ Den last week (6 April).
Founded in 2019 by the wife and husband duo Karlee and Omer Ozener, the brand specialises in hair care products formulated to work against the damaging effects of hard water.
The duo were looking for £100,000 investment in their company from the show’s infamous Dragons, Steven Bartlett, Deborah Meaden, Sara Davies and Touker Suleyman.
This was in return for a 2% stake in the company and support from the investors to help the company’s growth.
The Dragons are known for their business acumen, and their challenging negotiating style has resulted in many brands leaving the den empty handed.
But Hello Klean successfully emerged from the BBC’s Manchester studio with the full investment for 7.5% of the business.
Since then the brand claims to have seen six figures in sales every day and has sold three products every minute since the Dragons' Den air date.
Hello Klean also has a waitlist of more than 5,000 customers for its new Purifying Shower Head.
In this exclusive interview with Cosmetics Business, Karlee Ozener talks us through her experience with the show, and key advice for succeeding in front of the Dragons.
