Concern over the European Union’s (EU) proposals to limit allergens in fragrances seems to be focusing on the matter of labelling as much as, if not more than, the actual ingredients which go into perfumes, soaps and cosmetics. Industry experts have told SPC that while concerns that certain famous perfumes may disappear because of the initiative are overblown, there are real potential problems regarding the listing of potential allergens on packs.
