The make-up influencer was sued by former business partner Clark Swanson over supplement brand Halo Beauty in 2024

Tati Westbrook has settled a four-year lawsuit that led to the closure of her make-up brand Tati Beauty, the influencer announced.

Westbrook and her husband James were sued by former business partner Clark Swanson over the trio's supplements brand Halo Beauty in October 2020.

The case cited fraud, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty.

Swanson alleged that he initially owned 50% of Halo Beauty, but Westbrook and James asked for a larger share of the company.

In exchange, the Westbrooks reportedly agreed to expand Halo Beauty into other categories, which did not happen.

"We ended up getting on the phone, hammering things out without lawyers, and we're at peace with it," said Westbrook in a YouTube video shared to her 8.15 million subscribers.

"And that's a wrap. The past four years are done. It's over."

Westbrook noted that she can now legally use her name to market products as part of the legal deal.

In the new video, Westbrook said she will be relaunching Tati Beauty as a solo venture, which closed in 2021, citing Covid-19 and the lawsuit as the reasons.

Westbrook initially partnered with Seed Beauty, the incubator behind Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty, to create the line.

The American content creator said she will use sponsorship deals and affiliate marketing to fund the business.

She revealed in the 15 minute video that she is exploring body care and fragrance opportunities, as well as make-up.

Westbrook also hinted that she may create a lifestyle brand that uses community-led product development

After asking her followers on Instagram for advice about category ideas for her next venture, Westbrook said the feedback included jewellery, accessories, skin care, fashion, home decor and wellness.

"I'm someone who loves creating product. I love the whole process, the marketing, the packaging, the functionality, doing something different that I think is needed in the marketplace," she added.
