British pure play beauty retailer Space NK has entered a new retail agreement with Walmart to bring prestige cosmetics to shoppers.
Across the pond, Space NK will enter around 250 Walmart stores and via its online store, walmart.com.
Dubbed BeautySpaceNK, the shop-in-shop service – similar to those of Sephora and Kohl’s, as well as Target and Ulta Beauty – will offer a range of high-end and affordable products across make-up, skin and hair care, and bath products.
Hitting online from 15 March, and in-store this summer, Walmart’s e-commerce site will be home to 600 products from 15 brands.
Beauty heroes Foreo, By Terry and Eyeko will be among the first brands to launch.
Indie brands such as PSA, Grow Gorgeous and Baby Original will also be on offer.
“We are delighted to bring prestige beauty to customers across the United States, delivered through our unique model that makes it easy to connect brands with shoppers,” said Space NK’s CEO Andy Lightfoot.
“We have created a proposition for Walmart that we believe will be market-leading called BeautySpaceNK, utilising our years of expertise in this area.
“We have curated the very best of beauty for their customers, allowing them to shop prestige beauty when, where and how they choose.”
Space NK hit the beauty scene with a bricks-and-mortar store in London’s Covent Garden almost 30 years ago.
More beauty brands stocked at Space NK are expected to launch with Walmart in the coming months.
The move is part of Walmart’s strategic plan to become a one-stop-shop for all customers’ needs.
