Space NK has opened the largest store in its portfolio following an extensive refurbishment to its west London outlet.
The 2,500 sq ft retail space opened on 16 January at the Westfield shopping centre in White City, with the interior design focused on providing an immersive shopping experience.
“The store represents the physical evolution of Space NK," said Andy Lightfoot, CEO of Space NK.
"A more customer centric, welcoming environment with more brands, more choice, more exclusives all there to be touched and tried together with our expert staff.
“With more stores to come from our business in 2023, we are proud to continue to innovate, with our customer at the heart of everything we do.”
Space NK Westfield London has created two new treatment rooms offering facials with skin care therapists.
Make-up tables allowing customers to try on products, as well as a fragrance discovery area, also feature.
A space for customers to refill and recycle used brand agnostic beauty packaging has also been included.
Its turnover rose to £119.1m during the 12 months to March 2022, up from the £93m just one year earlier.
The success is largely attributed to Space NK investing in its infrastructure in recent years, with a heavy focus on its consumers.
This has been coupled with a series of exclusive brand partnerships in 2022, including Selena Gomez’ brand Rare Beauty, Vicki Tsai’s Tatcha and Jonathan Van Ness' JVN.
“The opening of Space NK’s largest store in its portfolio at Westfield London is testament to our continued investment in our spaces,” added Kate Orwin, Leasing Director UK at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.
“Health, beauty and wellness is a rapidly growing sector at our London centres and the beauty destination’s new flagship store signals the strength and appeal of the brand’s unique luxury offer and customer experience.”
This week beauty goliath Sephora also revealed it will be opening its debut UK bricks-and-mortar store at Westfield White City.
The location was first discovered by Cosmetics Business, with Sephora going on to confirm the location of the 6000 sq ft west London store on 17 January 2023.
The store’s façade will follow Sephora’s black and white stripes design ethos, with new design twists including ambient lighting and a focus on greenery.
