Shiseido has unveiled plans to shake up its leadership structure in 2026, along with a series of company-wide organisational changes.
Effective 1 January 2026, Naoko Hase, who currently serves as Group Manager, GTC Strategy Acceleration Group, will take up the role of VP, Risk Management Department.
Atsushi Yasuda has been named VP, Global Business Engagement Department; and Venkatesh Somasundaram has been promoted to VP, Global Enterprise Application Department, Global Digital Division.
Yuki Mikita and Keiko Sakurai have both been named VP and will head up the Global Digital Division, respectively focusing on the Global Digital Strategy & Governance Department and Global Digital Platform Department.
Finally, Takuma Kurahashi will serve as VP, Global Product Value Development Center, Brand Value R&D Institute; and Yuu Miura as VP, Creation Department, Art & Creation Division.
The Japanese beauty giant will establish a new Sustainability Strategy Acceleration Office, housed under its Corporate Transformation Acceleration Department.
The department aims to integrate better sustainability functions within Shiseido, which will also include a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Group that focuses on societal and environmental issues.
An Art & Creation Division will also be created, with the functions of the design studio, Shiseido Creative, being transferred to the newly established department.
Shiseido’s Art & Heritage Department will be dissolved and restructured as a Corporate Value Creation Office.
Finally, the upcoming Global Digital Division and Global Business Engagement Department aim to improve resource efficiency by integrating the digital and IT departments.
This leadership shakeup follows the Drunk Elephant owner appointing a new CEO for the US following another consecutive quarter of sales declines in Q3.
Alberto Noe, currently Interim CEO of Americas Region, will assume the full position of CEO for the region effective 1 January 2026.
Noe will also continue in his role as CEO of the EMEA Region.
