Sephora has revealed its third UK store will open in Manchester next summer.
The 500 sqm space will be housed at the Trafford Centre shopping destination, and marks the first non-London store from the luxury beauty retailer.
Sephora said the city was named as the most requested UK location by shoppers for its next store, with the boarding in front of the shop currently stating ‘Manchester, you called it’.
“Expanding our presence beyond London is something that consumers have been screaming out for, and we are listening hard to them when deciding where to go next,” said Sarah Boyd, Managing Director, Sephora UK.
“The Trafford Centre, known for its iconic atmosphere and diverse retail offering, is the perfect location for our third store.”
The store will stock Sephora’s collection of exclusive UK beauty brands, including Glossier, Makeup by Mario and Gwen Stefani’s GXVE.
Sephora’s own brand collection will also be available to shoppers, which includes its Cream Lip Stain Matte Liquid Lipstick and Outrageous Plump Effect Gloss.
“This iconic beauty giant already has a cult following, and our own social media has been blowing up with enquiries from excited customers eager for Sephora to open,” added Russell Loveland, Managing Director of Pradera Lateral – Trafford Centre’s Asset Managers.
“We are very proud Sephora chose the Trafford Centre for its next location, which will be its first store in the North of England, and know it will be a fantastic success and a great addition to our strong international brand line-up.”
Sephora re-entered the UK beauty market in October 2022 after over six years of speculation and over 17 years after it exited the British market.
The LVMH-owned beauty retailer then opened its first physical store at Westfields shopping centre in White City in March, and a second store in November at Westfield Stratford City.
