SCS elects its 2011/2012 committee

The Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) has announced its officers and council for the upcoming year. Acheson & Acheson’s Robin Parker has been elected president, taking over from the CTPA’s Dr Chris Flower, who held the position for 2010/2011 and will become immediate past president.

ISP's Tony Gough becomes vice president with the CTPA’s Emma Meredith as honorary secretary and Organic Monitor’s Judi Beerling as honorary treasurer.

New members of council include Roger Barr, Ruth Borner and Laura Marshall, who will join the existing team of Sara Bergstedt, Barbara Brockway, Richard Crombie, Louise Olivier, Ian Prendergast and Barry Winslett.

Gem Bektas remains secretary general, supported by administrative assistant, Mel Cheekoory, and Susan Hurst hast been re-elected as honorary auditor. The honorary editor is Anthony Rawlings, while the responsibilities of social secretary belong to Pauline Foster.
