A growing East African market for personal care products is Ethiopia. During the 2013-14 financial year Ethiopia imported cosmetics, perfume and toiletry products with a total value of US$89m, according to the country’s Revenue and Customs Authority. There was a 6% increase in the value of products imported compared with 2012-13 ($84m).
