Revolution Beauty, a highly success British brand that creates cosmetics, skincare and haircare for both retailers and consumers worldwide, has appointed Cygnia Logistics to ensure seamless delivery of its products to customers.
Stocked in 44 territories around the globe, Revolution Beauty is the number one brand in the UK market for Superdrug and for Rossmann Germany, as well as being the number six brand for Ulta Beauty in USA.
The rapidly growing beauty business specialises in creating and developing products faster than anyone else, which makes it highly responsive to changing tastes. With much of its sales driven by social media, influencer and customer advocacy, lead times need to be flexible to meet peaks in demand and to match customer expectations.
In 2018, Revolution Beauty became a fully-rounded cosmetics brand following the launch of its first skin products Conceal & Define concealer and Fast Base foundation.
In a few short weeks, Conceal & Define became the bestselling concealer in the drugstore market earning over 10 million views from influencers’ organic YouTube tutorials using the product.
Nadine Neatrour, Multichannel Leader at Revolution Beauty explains, “Our customers are extremely important to us and so to manage our rapid growth without disrupting the customer experience, we made the strategic decision to outsource our order fulfilment to an expert third party provider.
“Cygnia Logistics is a natural fit as we were looking for a fulfilment partner with a deep knowledge of the beauty and skincare sector and the capability to support the rapid growth of the brand across some 2,000 products.
“Revolution is an inherently social brand. We are tagged in over 2,000 images a day from bloggers, vloggers and consumers on Instagram who want to share images of their looks. We invite vloggers and friends of the brand to create content for our channel and represent the customer around the globe. Revolution has also seen phenomenal success in creating products for and alongside vloggers.”
Glenn Lindfield, chief executive at Cygnia Logistics added: “Our business is centred on delivering agile and highly responsive solutions for customers, especially during peak demand. This is particularly important for a brand where such peaks can be driven by social media as well as seasonal drivers such as Black Friday.
“Revolution Beauty required a swift implementation plan of about two months, based on providing a solution at our Gowerton site. Within just over two weeks of the contract going live, we were averaging 1,700 orders per day at an average of 7 units per order, shipping over 30,000 orders of more than 200,000 units in the first 18 days, as well as receiving, preparing and sending out 35 loads to Superdrug stores over the same timeframe.”
