QVC is to run its 'Find a Beauty Brand' competition for the second year in a row, in association with CEW.
After the success of last year's event, QVC is looking for an undiscovered beauty brand to join the line-up of products available at QVC UK. The winner will be mentored by QVC Beauty Buyers and the CEW team before being sold on QVC's live channel and QVC Beauty. The winning brand will also be presented at the Beauty Bash customer event.
Kate James, Head of Beauty Buying at QVC UK, said: “We are all really looking forward to this year’s competition as there were so many wonderful entries from the whole range of beauty products last year. Soapsmith, last year’s winner, hit the mark with our huge audience of savvy beauty customers. We are confident we will find a newcomer to join the well-established brands and the niche, upcoming companies, such as Sarah Chapman and James Read already with us.”
The prize also includes a year's membership to CEW and promotion across the CEW network, including the opportunity to host a mentoring event and help nurture other new brands in the market.
Caroline Neville, President of CEW UK, added: "Following the great success of last year’s competition and the launch of Soapsmith on QVC, we’re incredibly excited to announce plans to launch the competition again. This collaboration between two industry powerhouses – QVC and CEW – will ignite so much creativity and excitement in the world of beauty. Both QVC and CEW, in their own special ways, nurture brands, recognise brilliance and help shape the future of beauty. Our partnership with QVC has been very successful. Our CEW Beauty Oscar programme featuring the QVC winners of our Awards has become an industry fixture. We hope this competition will discover another truly special brand.”
