QVC beauty queen and cosmetics mogul Tova Borgnine has died at the age of 80.
The shopping network icon passed away at her home in Chester County, US, on 26 February.
The details of her death have not been disclosed.
Described as a “founder, leader and friend” in a statement by the brand she established – Tova Beverly Hills – Borgnine was Norwegian-born before moving to the US.
“Our hearts and lives will forever be filled with your sparkle that adorns our outfits, your skin care that makes us flawless and the halo of scent that is our signature,” it read.
“Rest peacefully dearest Tova,” added the group.
Borgnine, who was married to Marty actor Ernest Borgnine, joined the QVC family in 1990, selling her perfume and skin care skus, after founding her beauty business more than 40 years ago.
Later on, Borgnine developed a jewellery collection and wrote a memoir Being Married Happily Forever.
In celebration of her life, her family has partnered with two organisations said to be close to Borgnine.
