The Fragrance Foundation UK (TFFUK) has appointed Vanita Sabnani Dalamal, Vice President of Transformation, Strategy and Creative Lab at Puig, as its new Chairman.

Sabnani Dalamal is said to bring 30 years of experience from roles at Estée Lauder’s Tom Ford Beauty and Sotheby’s.

In 2018, she established the Puig global transformation hub and focused on “accelerating innovation, enhancing culture and creativity, and building forward-looking brand strategies”.

“We were incredibly impressed by the calibre of candidates interested in this pro-bono role,” said Annalise Fard, chair and head of the nominations committee.

“Leaders from around the world of fragrance were inspired by our work to date and confident in our future trajectory.

“The fragrance industry continues to strengthen its role in people’s lives – inspiring, uplifting and engaging across all generations.

“After a thorough selection process, we are delighted that Vanita has accepted the role, sharing in our vision and commitment to the sector's future transformational growth.”

Jane Boardman, a board member since 2015, has also been appointed as Vice Chair.

Boardman, a Strategic Communications Consultant and Founding Chair of the British Beauty Council, will support Sabnani Dalamal in her new role.

“I am honoured to join The Fragrance Foundation UK as Chairman,” said Sabnani Dalamal.

“I look forward to working with the board and our members to further our transformational mission and contribute to the continued success and evolution of the fragrance industry.”

TFFUK was founded in New York in 1949 by Chanel, Coty, Elizabeth Arden Guerlain and Helena Rubinstein.

The organisation is organised around three “strategic pillars”.

This includes education, which is centred around promoting “lifelong learning within the fragrance industry for both consumers and employees”.

Inspiration is the second pillar, and aims to showcase the “diverse world of fragrance to members and the broader community, highlighting innovative brands, individuals and emerging trends”.

Finally, celebration honours the “creativity, ideas, and diversity that drive the fragrance industry forward”.
