Guerlain and Viktor & Rolf scoop top prizes at FiFi Awards France 2013

La Petite Robe Noire dominates selective distribution category


The Fifi Awards France 2013, which were held on April 11, saw Guerlain’s La Petite Robe Noire (LVMH) and Viktor & Rolf’s Spicebomb (L’Oréal Luxe) scoop top prizes for best women’s fragrance and best men’s fragrance respectively.

La Petite Robe Noire also dominated the women’s fragrance selective distribution category, winning all of the awards including best advertising communication and best design. Sabine Chabbert, Associate Director of the Fragrance Foundation France and event host, said: “This fragrance prevailed clearly among the jury and the audience.”

Other fragrance winners included:VIP pour Elle by Playboy (Coty Beauty), which won best women’s fragrance in broad distribution; Only The Brave Tattoo by Diesel (L’Oréal Luxe), which won the audience award; Kenzo Homme Sport, by Kenzo (LVMH), which scooped best advertising communication; The Essence by David Beckham (Coty Beauty), which won best perfume in broad distribution; and Volutes by Diptyque, which took away best perfume in selective distribution.

So Elixir Purple by Yves Rocher won the best women’s fragrance marketed under its own name, while L’Eau Universelle by L’Occitane won best men’s fragrance marketed under its own name. Olfactive Studio received the brand prize for best concept. The Prix du Parfum Mythique 2013 went to Shalimar by Guerlain, which emerged from 15 nominated historical fragrances as winner.
