PDRN has been the biggest breakout K-beauty skin care ingredient trend of 2026, but its next frontier is make-up.
Popular for its ability to support hydration, tissue repair and elasticity as well as supporting collagen synthesis and skin regeneration, PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) has become the hero ingredient in a wave of recent skin care launches.
K-beauty brands such as Medicube and Biodance have moved in with new PDRN-based skin care, as well as Western brands such as Medik8 with its Exo-PDRN Prismatic+Serum, and Good Molecules with Copper Peptide Serum with PDRN.
The Ordinary has even opened a London-based pop-up focused specifically on PDRN, for the launch of its first-ever eye cream.
Beyond skin care, PDRN is showing up elsewhere in beauty: in sun care, with Mediheal’s PDRN Moisture Sun Serum, and in hair care with Medicube’s Rosemary PDRN Clarifying Shampoo.
But the category that is really starting to take off with PDRN-infused launches is colour cosmetics.
