KMI Brands and fashion designer Orla Kiely have teamed up to launch a new collection of home fragrances, marking the companies’ tenth year of partnership.
Set to launch in John Lewis in time for Christmas, the range includes three scented candles moulded into the shape of a dog, hen and snail, in pastel green, yellow and pink respectively.
The dog candle is scented with green fig and cedarwood; the hen harnesses white grapefruit and basil; while rose, geranium and eucalyptus are used for the snail.
Each candle is hand poured and and manually sharpened to create the animals’ features.
“There is a huge amount of competition within the home fragrance market,” said Nikki Kenyon, Senior Brand Manager at KMI Brands.
“For this new launch we worked with Orla to create something innovative and unique for the consumers, something different to what is currently out there and to what Orla has launched in the past.
“We’ve moved away from traditional circular glass vessels and have introduced collectable moulded wax candles.”
The products retail at £26.
