Orla Kiely, the fashion, lifestyle and fragrance brand, has announced the closure of its online business and bricks-and-mortar stores.
Created by Irish designer Orla Kiely, the brand released a statement on its website stating that as of 17 September, the retail and wholesale fashion business had ceased trading.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused," the statement read. "Orla Kiely's Home and Design licensing business will not be impacted, and its selection of accessories and homewares will continue to be sold through its distribution partners."
Under a licence agreement with KMI Brands, Orla Kiely also sells cosmetics and toiletries as well as wash bags, sporting the brand's iconic prints.
KMI Brands told Cosmetics Business: "Licensed partners such as KMI Brands will be unaffected and will be continuing business as usual. We will continue to create and retail our much-loved home fragrance and washbags through our distribution partners."
Its distribution partners include Amazon, John Lewis, QVC UK, allbeauty.com and The Fragrance Counter, among others.
In the run up to Christmas, the brand typically launches a number of beauty products as part of its gifting collection.
In 2016, it launched fragrance gift sets including the Shadow Flower Mini Fragrance Gift Set featuring three scents.
Meanwhile for the 2015 festive season, it launched bath and body products inside the brand's popular homeware tins.
Home fragrance is another key product category for the brand, with a selection of candles and diffusers available in a wide variety of scents.
