Consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Marko Lens has launched a colour cosmetics line, Zelens Active Colour, which joins his existing skin care line.
The range is based on a scientific approach using advanced technology combining high-tech and natural ingredients. Dr Lens’ aim is for the products to provide both colour and skin repair benefits.
The base of each product is formulated with ingredients that mimic the skin’s natural phospholipid barrier, and incorporates the use of ‘biofermentation, advanced filtration techniques and a carefully selected combination of multiple ingredients, which contain targeted activity’. The products are formulated to stimulate cell respiration, proliferations and metabolism.
The products include: Youth Glow Foundation (£60), a reviving treatment foundation that helps reduce signs of stress and fatigue with diamond spheres and hyaluronic acid for a glowing finish in five shades; Age Control Foundation (£65), a skin-perfecting treatment foundation that helps combat signs of ageing and restore firmness and elasticity in five shades; Active Concealer (£35), inspired by Zelens’ Triple Action Eye Cream to correct the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines with a probiotic complex in three shades; Satin Primer (£42), which ‘amplifies’ skin’s luminosity, increases moisture and refines skin’s surface with yeast respiratory factor; Velvet Primer (£42), a shine-control primer with a smooth matte finish for long lasting make-up; The Blush (£38), a delicate powder blusher infused with baobab pulp to enhance cheek volume in two shades; Lip Glaze (£28), a collagen-building treatment gloss with Volulip complex in five shades; The Balm (£35), a nourishing and restoring lip treatment with 13 active ingredients to deliver intense soothing moisture; Lip Enhancer (£28), which ‘visibly’ enhances colour, volume and definition with wild mango butter and hydrogenated coco-glycerides; and Flirt Mascara (£35), a treatment mascara to condition, lengthen, volumise and separate lashes.
