The market was positively fragrant for women’s fragrances in Italy in 2015, driven by a new dynamism in the perfumery channel and the distribution policies of the specialist chains, who sold over €140m, up 8% compared to 2014, according to Cosmetica Italia. Sales expanded in almost every channel, delivering growth of 3.6% overall. The largest channel, perfumeries, which brought in €507.3m of the €605.5m sales achieved in the segment, moved up 2.1%, further advancing the previous year’s rise of 1.1%.
